The anime and movie of Afro Samurai, may not be good first representations of the characters and world, if read through the manga. Possibly this perception can change if more were aware of the differences. Maybe if more knew about the Manga, it would be a complete and utter difference. The film Afro Samurai Resurrection has references to Ninja Scroll (1993) and Black Lion (1992). Do you think that with the right Writers, Care, Passion and Respect for the Material, that Afro Samurai could be Extended. Look at Fooly Cooly for example. Could just extend the Manga.
