I’ve noticed in the games I have that I usually play it some, but if certain parts are too difficult, I’ll move on too quickly out of aggravation.

However, I’m finding in this experiment of mine where I focus on one game at a time, that I’m able to get better from one day to the next and get better at what I struggled with before.

Do you stick with games until you figure them out? Are you like me and too quick to move on to another game when things get hard?

Do you usually do multiple careers, campaigns, rpgs, etc at the same time? I started with an rpg, and am now on this career, and then I’ll continue another career in another game after that.
So maybe that wasn’t a good mix of first games to go with. Still figuring it out.

It really depends on the game. Some stuff I can figure out, but other times I'll just give myself so many attempts before I look it up. If it's a difficulty thing, sometimes it's my own skill not being up to par, but other times I find I've simply overlooked a strategy that makes it much easier, because it didn't occur to me that you could play that way.

But then there's stuff Blue Prince. I'm not sure how you're supposed to figure out some of the stuff that game throws at you. It's optional or whatever, but if you're curious and want to see everything, you almost have to read the designer's mind to figure out what to do. I'll only struggle with that for so long and then I look it up. Kudos to anyone who can do stuff like that without help, but I'm only gonna be alive for so long. You know?

I often jump around between games even if I'm not stuck, but I generally try to tough it out. If I either cannot or get too frustrated, I tend to move to a different game. Exception is if it's a level issue, in which case I'd rather just...y'know, not bother with that game again. It doesn't respect me, so I shouldn't respect it. It's incredibly rare to actually see that issue (despite what searching for help on the internet might tell you, strategy is often king, not numbers) in present day, present time. But it still happens, unfortunately.

This month I finished 2 different games (GTA:VC;Stories and Dead Space 1) after put FF12 in hiatus (I just forgot about it) now i'm back.

If boring and I like it; just give it a time and play something else then back to it again. If game is bad and boring I just move on.

If by too difficult means the gameplay is difficult like Demon Souls or a Roguelike, then use cheats. Depending on the platform should not be possible, but if it's PC I usually use Cheat Engine and I just give myself the bare minimum to be able to make it easier without breaking it. If you play emulators, it's easy as well.

If you just don't know how to progress further because you're lost and don't know where to go, just check a guide for that specific thing and continue the rest without it.

I don't have patience to avoid being pragmatic, so I really don't care as long as I have fun playing it, I don't consider games any kind of challenge, so I avoid it in favour of having fun. Luckily, for me challenge does no mean fun :)
