I'm not a perv >: /
10 years of solitude,
I had my bad fur day back in the university -_-;

I guess the old adage still holds true.
arguing on the internet is literally turn based combat.png

So weird to see that many can't keep their cool. You have all that time while you're typing your message and before you click 'send' to take a step back and ask yourself if you really want to post that reply.

To be fair, I have ADHD. Not thinking things through is literally one of the symptoms.

Other users have no excuse, though.

Eh, it's been a part of online life for as long as we have been able to exchange messages. Some people even took it further when YouTube allowed for video replies and roastings, then those people had to record, edit, render AND upload a video, knowing full-well that they could back down at any time and still didn't. Forums are almost tame compared to that.

Some people go full nuclear when they seemingly didn't come out on top of something. Just like there are many kinds of intelligences, there are also all kinds of angers to go 'round. Explosive, implosive, vindictive, take your pick.

I used to have a job where my register was just a PC with some POS software installed, so I could browse while I was on the clock. I'd spent 12 hours at a time on forums and IRC channels arguing with people about the absolute dumbest shit and my own really limited world view at the time. Posting on a forum after probably a decade if not longer and having the people here be generally okay, is nice. I'm also older and don't immediately jump on stuff the way I used to, so maybe I'm nicer now too.
