While I love the PSP and Vita, I'm not all that excited about the prospect of Sony putting out some modern handheld pc with less features.

You know they're gonna do something stupid that handicaps the device and it'll be dead in a few years.

Even if it somehow survives, ill want to see some really, reeeeally good reasons software wise to make this worth even considering a purchase.

Cheaper alternative to steamdeck with a focus on emulating the core PS2 library natively, is what I'm guessing. Would be weird if they tried making it more than like $700USD.

It would be amazing.

but they need to design it well: it cant be so expensive like Portal because people will just skip it and play on their phones, and it has to offer something different than just what the Switch 2 offers.

I honestly thought they would announce it today when they reveled the fighting game stick controller.

Depending on the price I'd pick the Vita.
