This idea came into my head this morning and it might be stupid or too hard to program but how about a online cabinet for people to play a game on that shows the best high scores of all time, of the month and of the day. I think it would be a great addition to a forum filled with retro game fans. Or maybe its just stupid I don't know...::confused

This used to be a feature on many sites a while back, but Flash's "Crimes Against Humanity" sentence put an end to that. I know of workarounds, but not if they'd work here.

Good idea, though.

Even better; if we could do real-time (user vs user) online pong tournaments (to name a simple game), with short, score-based matches. Would it be technically possible? And how to implement adequate controls on smartphones? IDK. ??‍♂️
I like to dream... ?

It IS possible.

We used to have Frogger tournaments on a site I wrote for. But not entirely sure how that worked.

I see. But in that case the users were playing individually, one at a time, I suppose. I mean instead a direct clash between two users, with games like pong, air hockey, foosball or similar. Pal, try asking the chieftain if he likes this suggestion, as soon as you can, if it's not a bother. ?
