The game we all know and love, share your memories with it and also your main.

I have a lot of memories of this game with my brother, we were both addicted to the parry mechanic of this masterpiece, as well we were hooked up with the amazing ost (the character select song was our favourite).

My main is yang and sometimes ryu, altough I mained remy for a long time.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Elena😍😍😍😍😍

There was an arcade I used to play it at regularly, and one time a guy I met there bought me games and drinks all night as we played 3rd Strike. He was also a good sport about me winning ¾ths of the time. 😅

I main Makoto and I always choose her black outfit.

Third strike had some good tunes. Too bad I sucked, hell sometimes I played to groove out to the music.

God that sounds like a blast!

One of the greatest fighting games ever made, and one of my favorite games period. I've probably spent more time with 3rd Strike then I have with my family. :loldog

Long time Ibuki and Makoto main

I play a bit of Dudley and Akuma too.

Third Strike is PEAK fighting game. I suck massive ass at it, even more than I usually do at fightin games. If I were to choose a main, I really like Dudley. He's just so cool, and his aggressive playstyle is something I enjoy.

I remember first casually playing Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike arcade, coming from New Generation and 2nd Impact my main going in was Necro. It wasn't until around the Dreamcast release I began to take a big interest in the game.

My friends and I would watch Tournaments from Japan, and this is back in the early 2005-08. It was also around the time I first was introduced to Fightcade, where 3S would be my primary game. Spent hours playing online, with Necro watching matched from Sugiyama, PinoAB7. My secondary was Twelve, with his low health and damage output he was often overlooked but I capitalized on his strengths like hovering, low-profiling attacks by walking, feinting jumping heavy kick by pressing it late, for example.

In 2010 my focus shifted to playing Super Street Fighter IV. While I enjoyed the new characters like El Fuerte (which became my secondary) I decided to finally sit down and properly learn how to play charge characters so my choice was Vega (claw). He became my main and I eventually got down the charge style.

Which leads me to my second renaissance with 3S, this time Online Edition released in 2011. I decided to take my charge knowledge and apply it, choosing Remy as my new main. Playing him more aggressively like Vega instead of defensively like Guile. My secondary then was Q. I would then spend more years playing on Fightcade 2 in 2015-2023 this time using my new main as my primary choice.

Overall it's my favorite 2D fighting game, next to SSFIVAE. Other characters I would learn in order were; Oro, Alex, Elena, Ibuki, Ryu, Sean. I enjoy all these fighters especially Alex and Ibuki, Oro is cool too.

@solnK! Aye fellow Remy main in the wild

My good memories of this game are quite simply the 3rd Strike intro rap, and Alex's theme. Both are extremely nostalgic, and great theme songs. Maybe even iconic as far as video game music goes.

Easily one of the greatest fighting games of all time. Up there with Guilty Gear XX AC for me as being my favorite fighting games of all time, both having incredible soundtracks and characters.

3rd Strike is the one I probably played the most, having first played it around 2005 on the Anniversary Collection for PS2/Xbox. It was a childhood favorite for me and my brother, we spent hours on this everyday after school (I'd always win obviously, except for one time which he still never lets me forget lol).

Akuma and Makoto were always my mains (Admittedly I was always a bit better with Akuma but I love Makoto too much lol).

Urien was the character that got me into the genre. 3S is my most played game overall, and I first began playing it with the release of Online Edition on 360/PS3.

3S was the game where I learned how to do motion inputs through OE's character trials, which I look back on fondly. The SRK forums and YouTube were invaluable learning resources to understanding all things from the most basic, to the most absurd (charge partitioning? Kara cancels? Akuma f.mp is invincible to throws for some reason? I wouldn't have it any other way. )

The game is the whole package - fun roster, gorgeous sprites, top tier OST, and an unbelievably high skill ceiling.

Third Strike is special.
Just a really good point in 2D fighting games. Seminal, some say.

Ibiki and Makoto destroy!

Ahem.... I'll be back in a minute.

Right, 3rd Strike. I hate it. It's so good that I can't enjoy any other SF.
I main Ryu and Yang. You probably beat my sucking ass in fightcade one of these days. I never forget.

I'd love to play your Akuma with my Makoto. ::heart
Honestly, I should get back into it, finding the time nowadays is the problem. I'd love to to just have the time to really lock in and re-learn the game, same with Guilty Gear XX AC.

While scrolling through some forums, someone shared a working CPS3 emulator with it; it was portable so I took it to my computer class and we started fighting; it was honestly awesome. My friend and I got heated at points but everything friendly, some good fights. I mainly used Ibuki and Ken. It's my prefer street fighter, the "simplicity" and smoothness keeps me coming back.

Lowkey bugged me that not every character got their own theme, compared to Second Impact where Necro got his own stage music, both twins got their own variant of their music, everyone had stage music.

That said the music that actually is used for individual fighters is easily the best in the game like Killing Moon, You Blow My Mind, and Spunky
