3DS 3DS Good Memories Thread!

I remember playing Pokemon Picross and redeeming daily tries to get badges in Badge Arcade every morning, New Leaf (the best AC for me, Alfonso I miss you sometimes) and SMT IV. It was my first SMT but I liked the difficulty and amazing OST, Tokyo theme is in my top 10 game soundtracks easily.

Still play mine from time to time, i kinda like the 3d effect too.

Best 3d use i remeber is with old sega titles.. you can play special versions of sonic, street of rage.. etc. with the effect on. Gives a good vibe.

Anxiously waiting for Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D ever since I saw pictures of it online and playing it obsessively once I got my hands on it. Same with Animal Crossing New Leaf.

OH and walking to my local Starbucks just to make use of the Nintendo hotspot there while sipping a hot cocoa. I miss those Nintendo Zone things. You could connect to them without having to futz around in the system settings, and you even got some in-game goodies sometimes.

The console library is really saved by like a score of games, because the rest of them are below average, already on other console with only little upgrades here or just absolute trash all along. The Street Pass and eShop are absolutely annoying as fuck with how some games needed those to unlock the ingame features. And the 3D feature is literally useless, most of the time I played games without it because it just absolutely hurt my eyes after a while.
It's definitely not as legendary as PSP or even its older brother DS, for sure. But at least it's not Vita bad, which is still something.

I only played it for these, the only worthwhile games:
- Pokemon X & Y
- 7th Dragon III Code: VFD
- Stella Glow
- Devil Survivor: Overclocked and Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker
- Shin Megami Tensei IV & FINAL/Apocalypse
- Shin Megami Tensei Deep Strange Journey/Redux
- Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology
- Kid Icarus Uprising
- Rune Factory 4
- Fire Emblem Kakusei/Awakening
- Senran Kagura 2 Shinku/Deep Crimson
- Danball Senki/Little Battlers Xperience
- Super Robot Taisen/Wars UX & BX
- Mario Kart 7 (the ONLY good kart racing in the entire series)
Reminder that 5 of above games are literally just DS games rereleased with more content, as expected of Atluscummy.

The time i played SMT4 absolutely goated game! Also i had some fun playing the 3ds pokemon titles and it was the first console i beat Ocarina of time :3 Such a great console it was... and it is :3
I have mod it a lot my 3ds, i am soo happy pretendo is a thing because i am having so much fun playing 4U online. Also is great the Input Redirectioner on Rosalina Menu and a lot of small mods that make the 3ds soo great. I may want a New3ds on the future for streaming and capture stuff. But i am happy with my 3DS XL for now. (I even have a Smash Special Edition that one of my friends hand me because my OG 3ds has a broken stick, top screen and hinged, is was truly a special console for me as it also intesified my love for modding consoles along with the Wii).

All the Pokemon games for the 3DS were some of the best in my opinion, and it gave me the most enjoyment from the 3DS. They had a good mix of QOL to make breeding and grinding easier, but it still had the things you want out of a competitive Pokemon game (IV's, EV's, eggmoves, natures). Oh, and the roster of available Pokemon was huge, making USUM the last good Pokemon (sword/shield got pretty close, but this is about 3DS).

Trading, battling with friends. I remember getting in contact with my friend from back when we played Red/Blue on GB, and we did battles on ORAS. I also remember there being codes you could input to battle against AI versions of real players, and that was alot of fun battling against AI Verlisify, and AI TamashiiHiroka.

My favorite thing about the 3DS was the 3D. I always played with the slider all the way up. I'm also one of those people that don't seem that affected by 3D though. I actually have a 3D tv and supply of 3D movies too.

I once injured an old lady with my 3DS and got my ass promptly beat.

I ultimately don't think that much of the 3DS's 3D gimmick overall, but seeing Ocarina of Time with the 3D on for the first time was a pretty cool experience.

I remember trying the Etrian Odyssey IV demo and much later forgetting the name and buying SMT IV on a sale instead thinking it was that game lmao. I loved the game despite and I'm glad I discovered the saga thanks to that mistake

Hanging around in Traverse Town in the KH3D Demo because I could never get a physical copy. It was fun getting a grasp on flow motion and enjoying the scenery while I was in between doing lighting for plays. Traverse in Trance will forever be baked into my memory and sits firmly at the top of my favorite KH songs list.

I played the 3DS at launch, and the only games that existed were Nintendogs and Steel Diver lol. Then when gen 6 came out, I played Pokemon X a lot. That honestly was a fun time though, everyone connecting with another through PSS. There were a lot of memes too, 2013 was a good year. (back when I could trade pokemon with my younger brother who I don't really get along with now smh) Wasn't really there for the middle part (2015-2018), but for the late era (2019), I did get into Megaten and played SMTIV like most people in the thread.

I still play my 3DS everyday. I'm playing Fire emblem Shadow of Valentia, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Animal Crossing New Leaf Welcome Amiibo almost everyday.

Everyday I make a new one. From trying everything possible to get SegaCD games running on an old 2ds, to just loading up english fan translations of DS games there's always a fun experience to have. If anyone is looking to get into homebrew, the 3ds is the most accessible starting point. Talkin bout dang ol game on, man.

Shadows of Valentia is severely underrated. The best fire emblem remake easily.

When I first started Pokemon Y I wanted a female Eevee to make a Sylveon (this was important for the lore of my character in my head), but I kept finding males. Eventually I got a shiny Golett instead, my first in console shiny ever and the beggining of my shiny hunting ventures.

Pokemon Y might've not been the best game ever but I have a lot of memories with it, it was also the first time I joined a actual online competitive community and probably it was the most active I ever was in the online Pokemon fanbase.

Also a lot of good memorias with ACNL, amazing game

I still have my New 3DS, I bought it 5 years ago. It actually my second 3DS, the first one was sold so I could have bought a VITA ::smirk1

I also have some games need to finished like FE Echoes, Luigi Mansion, Persona Q, Mario, Pokemon,.... so much games in backlog but too little time to play.

I loved all my finished games on 3DS. Stella Glow, Fire Emblem Awakening, Pokemon X, Azure Gunvolt, Radiant Historia,...

Stella Glow is my GOAT on 3DS. I love it. And FE Awakening too, one of the best SRPG. Pokemon X may not the best game, but it's only 3D Pokemon game I finished, until I got a Switch Lite and finished BD (Gen 4 remake). Azure Gunvolt is so much fun and fast-paced. Radiant Historia is great JRPG too, with time travel system. And other games that I am not mentioned, all of them are very unique, fun and easy to pick up, learn and play.

I had played DS, VITA and also Switch Lite, all of them are handheld, but 3DS for me is still the best, because I have many time for it because of my time in college.

Also, I wish every handheld has time-played detail record feature like Activity Log on 3DS.

Playing 3D Land in Xmas '12.

Several years later I did Starfox 3D.

And more recently Kid Icarus Uprising last year.

Shame I never got Cave Story 3D...

The 3DS is the console i have the most emotional attachment with. I had a PS2 and PS1 as a child but only had pirated games and no memory card. I had a Wii but it was in my father's house (and he refused to give it back until he literally died)

I bought a Wii U but while i had fun with Tropical Freeze, it's small library meant fun was limited.

The 3DS? Not only it had a pretty good library of exclusives, it was the first portable console i ever owned. This was during my high-school years meaning every break i had was spent on playing Smash Bros, Pokémon, Kirby games, A Link Between Worlds, Luigi's Mansion 2, and Dream Drop Distance. Because of this, every trip, every break, every single second i was outside of the house and even inside i played this little device. It helped me in my hardest times, lowest times and toughest times.

I STILL remember when Smash 3DS was coming out and decided to reserve a copy just the day before, because it was my birthday, and running into the store as soon as school ended. One of the best gifts in my life alongside Crash 4 and Mega Man 11.

When the Switch came out i mostly lost interest in the little device, i don't think i played with it at ALL in 2020, but that changed when i decided to............tinker with it if you know what i mean.

Now the 3DS is back in the party and im glad to have kept it.

#3DSFOREVER

I miss when mine wasnt broken

Shadows of Valentia is severely underrated. The best fire emblem remake easily.

I wouldn't claim that, since Fates is the best IMO and Awakening is also very good, but I respect your opinion.

The bad side is that Shadows of Valentia is one of those games that break after a short time.

Last night I was finishing a terribly boring map and when I attacked the last enemy unit, my game broke down, forcing me to turn off the system. I'll try to play it again later.

My copy of Persona Q is dead as well. The system recognizes the cartridge but do not load it. I've lost over 30 hours of gameplay.

To me, playing Ace Attorney for the first time on 3DS was fire ::fire

I have really good memories of playing the Ace Attorney games on the 3DS in addition to Pokemon and Animal Crossing. I'm pretty sure I still have my shiny event Beldum from ORAS' launch.

I believe I bought mine back in 2014. The first black Friday purchase I ever made. Got the NSMB 2 bundle for $99. One of the best deals I ever got. Worth every penny. I still have the box and a lot of the little things that came with it. I was so excited. NSMB 2 was a bit of a disappointment for me compared to NSMB, but I eventually played so many other cool games like Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter, Link Between Worlds.

I think the only thing that the 3DS didn't do better than my DSi XL was Flipnote. They did do a Flipnote, but I really miss Flipnote Hatena.

Anyways, this isn't a DSi nostalgia thread. I love my 3DS and plan to keep it and play it for the rest of my life.
