I remember wanting a playstation as a kid. The name itself "Play station" it's a station for play. This is the fucking future.

Also Interesing naturally we got ze Ps1 much later again and not all of the games you got of course.
and a slower frame rate naturally pretty much as a European it was the worst way to experience the Ps1 wich is sad as the Ps1 was a real banger of a console even if I am more of a Ps2 guy myself yet did play many ps1 games thanks to a Family Member of mine who shared them like Doom and Ridge Racer and Crash Bandicot 3 warped and to Tomb raider wich I was never much of a fan of thanks to the controls.

Older Consoles do feel and look more futuristic like p2 compared to the Wi Fi router I meant ps5 I don't know why exactly its just the early 2000s vibe that I really loved I am also more of a fan for Retro Futurism instead of simple Sci Fi

Also is this a AI voice I am not sure myself it probably is but I am not 100% sure some people maybe just sound like that.

It sucks being an Adult but hey we don't have to attend fucking School anymore

but Childhood without forced Schooling held at gunpoint if you resist would be nice but now I am free at last for a couple of years now.
Anyway I do really believe the world was a bit saner in the early 2000s compared to today so its not just being a Adult that makes us have such a grim outlook the world as a whole became worse

Wow, 30 years already? Time really flies! PlayStation has definitely shaped gaming history in the USA, from the classic PS1 memories to the powerhouse consoles today. In my region, the 30th anniversary of the PS1 will be on September 29. It’s amazing to see how much the brand has evolved and still keeps players excited after three decades!

How do you imagine the face and reaction of a ukrainian, where PlayStation was officially launched only in 2010? Accordingly, the first officially launched with all the world Playstation was PS4

But unofficially, of course, we sold pirated chipped consoles of all generations before that.

But luckily the difference is not that bad anymore compared to ze past
Its sad that I can't play many games that Interest me on my Ps2 to as I got the European one and many games came only out in America and Japan making them unplayable on a Pal ps2 even If I would import ze games,and no I did not mod my ps2

Honestly I take forced school in away. Becuse one being a kind in school it was simpler to make friends than as an adult. And honestly I rather do 1 hour of math than having to deal with bills worrying if im gonna starve or not this month.

But the best part about being a kid is you never worried about what´s going on in the world. Sure there where wars and other bad shit but as a kid your where oblivious as hell to all shit going on in the world.

So honestly few hours of school is better than 8 hours of growling work that pay you only enough to barely stay alive.

Yeah I heard of the removal of the Region Looks wich where also partially done in Germany by some but I never knew how or where to get it done.
In Germany it also was very bad as many Games where put on the Index and where simply not allowed to be sold or where only strictly censored.
And well we Germans had still our ways to get games not officially sold in Germany as I heard of a Family member of mine that is much older.
I do remember him being pissed though as he wanted a PC engine that apparently never came to Germany.

Point is as you become an adult you only live in a delusion of free choice but in the end the Government and the 1% use your like a slave so they get more money.

If I had the free will as an adult I would do what I love not what im told to do by society and government.

My poor Americans couldn't experience real-deal PS1 games at all:

- Ace Combat 3 (only the Japanese version has the real deal game while non-Japanese version is shitty remake lol)

- Shiritsu Justice Gakuen (My beloved Japanese high school simulator fighting series RPG that you can even create your own character but non-Japanese versions are cut content just a bad fighting game lol)

- Racing Lagoon (My beloved street racing RPG stayed in Japan)

- Zero4 Champ DooZy-J (Another of my beloved street racing RPG that is Japan only. My poor Americans could only play simple racing games like Need for Speed and Test Drive lol)

- Kowloon's Gate (rest of the world other than Japan missed the fun of Kowloon's Gate insanity lolol)

- Baroque (In Japan we used this game like illegal drug but my poor Americans had to buy cocaine and whatnot shit instead!!!)

- Fire Woman Matoigumi (Japan only high school simulator. Poor Americans lol)

- Yuuyami Doori Tankentai (Americans never experienced its horror!!!)

- London Seirei Tanteidan (Americans and also even Londoners missed the chance to play this game, bloody damn!!! lol)

- Koukidou Gensou: Gunparade March (Americans never had to talk and figure out what kind of game this is and how "wow" the game is. "Is this the real life or is this just fantasy?" lol)

- Mizzurna Falls (Twin Peaks game Americans couldn't experience!!!)

My poor Americans couldn't play decent games at all!!!! Yeah celebrate 30 years of great aspect of PS1 library Americans couldn't experience until recent fan patches. *fake cries* lolol

Curious enough, I bought my PS1 in 1998 and the next day I modchipped and played an import game. As I couldn't stand 50hz because my head hurted so bad from looking at that slow refresh, I had to use only imported games, but thanks to the modchip that wasn't an issue.

This (and PS2 & PS3) still represent when PlayStation actually meant something to me, as a console. I could add PS4 to that to some degree, but when they started going all-in on cinematic Western AAA they were gutting the more niche stuff.

That was still much better than what their PS5 generation's turned out to be, though. Like lightyears better, in terms of first party games and exclusives anyway. I don't have much hope for PS6 at this rate.

I was fixing to turn 10 in 1999 when my biological father took me to walmart to buy my PS1. I got Crash 1, Tomb Raider 1, and Rayman 1 (along with a purple Mad Catz memory card that would later brick my console in 2004). Going from a Sega Genesis to a PS1 was absolutely mind blowing

I still firmly hold Ape Escape as one of my favorite games for the system

The PS1 was before my time. However, this, in addition to growing up with Nintendo games more, has led me to continually unearth tons of hidden gems for the PS1 that I otherwise wouldn't have these days thanks to meeting countless people who have fond memories of the PS1, as well as experiencing a few titles firsthand via the PS1 Classic like "Jumping Flash" (Underrated game, BTW) or the original "Resident Evil".

And there's still so many other games that I'd to experience someday across both PS1 & PS2. I've essentially kept a bucket list.
