makes Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge more appealing
I like parts of razer's edge, but much prefer 4 over 3RE. RE i only find really fun when i'm playing the other characters and doing the arena challenges. I don't like the main campaign. Even with the fixes in mind. 4 has its issues, but I find it almost as good as II Black.

I'd say Metroid Prime 4. Ninja Gaiden 4 could be argued to be a Platinum game first, in the same way Metal Gear Rising was a Platinum game set in the Metal Gear series. Whether you want a Platinum game or not could influence your thoughts on it.

Metroid Prime 4 is just a watered down Prime game. The same as the others, except linear and handholdy with quirk chungus characters crowbarred in.

I consider myself very forgiving and open minded when it comes to video games but not even I can pretend that ninja gaiden 4 was a good game; it was a kind of soft reboot that the franchise didn't need and the new protagonist and gameplay elements are absolute trash. Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge is a far superior game in every way, even the graphics and animations are better.

You can't behead human enemies in Sigma.
This is literally 100% wrong

I mean no disrespect by saying this, but it sound like you're not actually that familiar with Sigma, or you're getting your info from a second-hand source.

The Asian version that I played had no human beheadings.

I need to play NG3: RE again and see how it compares to NG4. While it was a massive disappointment at the time, I do remember enjoying it more than I did recently with NG4.

Metroid Prime 4. It is pretty much a textbook answer for what is currently wrong with modern gaming.
\Why? it was delayed multiple times, It's a Nintendo "triple A" bigger budget project & it's mediocre given what came before & the quality one would expect + the time spent resurrecting this. = F.
I'd still say that delaying a game instead of making a rushed one will always be the better of the two options.

But I do agree that modern gaming has a ton of issues and that the fact people used to say "Nintendo are so behind the current time, they should modernise their franchises" hurts and felt like a monkey paw kind of wish.

Even when delayed, and if there are huge production issues that always doesn't make a good game.

People who constantly said that shit back then, son't know what they want and are always flippant about it. While I don't have much interest in this game, it looks fine to me. I've only played the first Prime game and beaten it. I know this one is more linear. In structure, but it's not the end of the world, and I would still have a good time with this ost recent entry. We still have Dread, so all is not lost nor that bad. People online in social media exaggerate too much or cry when they don't get every single thing they want. The once again, this is why I really don't fall into the hype circle for a majority of games. It's called elise, having reasonable or understandable expectations.

Ninja Gaiden 4 easily, I'd sooner go back to Yaiba before touching 4 again.

The vast majority of people that hate Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1,2 and 3: Razor’s Edge never actually played those games; they are just repeating what they read online.

You do that. Yaiba there's too much of an unbalanced mess and headache to play again. The only things I like from that game are the unlockable arcade mode, and Ms. Monday. Yaiba I barely light as a character and really only found him amusing due to how overly edgy and try hard his dialogue is. Yakumo is much better.

That wasn't an endorsement of Yaiba lolol, more of a dig at 4. They're both awful, there hasn't been a decent Ninja Gaiden since 2.

To you.

NG4 is a great game, and I don't regret a single moment with it. It has its problems like any other NG game, but not enough for it to be a disappointment to me. NG2B and NG4 are my personal favorites of the franchise.

I'm glad you had fun with it!

I havent played either but being a much bigger Ninja Gaiden fan I think i'd much more easily be disappointed by NG4. I was actually worried about NG4 possibly feeling too much like a platinum game, so hearing all this worries me.

this is a contender i was so hyped for it too

Good news: it mostly doesn't. The game is closer to Ninja Gaiden II/II Black in feel, combined with some essence of Metal Gear Rising. There is a dodge offset/perfect dodge, but it's not Witch Time. Enemies don't stand still frozen in place while you dodge, nor afterward. Pulling off successful dodges does net you faster ultimate technique charges. Don't let the worry warts, nor people who clearly didn't play the game fool you. This is a Ninja Gaiden game.

Doom: The Dark Ages wasn't what I wanted but its good

I am not interested in NG4 but theres no particular reason.

NG4 is crap; the new trash main character is a younger version of Raiden (Metal Gear Rising Revengeance), he even has a super mode that is similar to Raiden's ripper mode, the music is an inferior version of the heavy metal in MGR R; for some reason Platinum Games decided to give Ryu some of Raiden's animations even though they could have easily used Ryu's animations from the ninja gaiden master collection; when you play has Ryu, you will have to go through the same levels as the trash new protagonist did and fight the same bosses too, and to top it all off Platinum Games ruined the combat by making it focus a lot more on parries like in MGR R, in NG4 combos are less important than ever.

Trust yourself, then just go and have fun. If not that, then Brain Alert can give you some convincing. Due to be warned, as their will be plot, story, and character spoilers at the halfway point in the video (if you care about all those). The video is 3 hours long. He does review the entire game.
