In retrospect, Resident Evil 5 did not deserve the hate it got- it is the high bar for all of the Co-Op focused Resident Evil/Biohazard games.

I enjoyed 6, but part of the fun (for me) when playing any Resident Evil game is navigating the crazy tonal shifts between horror & comedy. Six segregating the tone (And difficulty) into three shorter campaigns had it loose what I can only describe as "Evil dead" vibes present in every other game.

Hell Resident Evil 5 feels like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance older sibling.

Sheva was a badass. Chris is a giga-chad.

He must convince Leon to save the Redfield bloodline

I forgot how good 2009 was. Another game I've always had a soft spot for was Darkest of Days. It's one of my favorite "bad" games because it was an FPS with such a unique concept.

Those three define the year for me, even though I didn't play any of them in 2009 (I think I tried to play TS3, but my PC wasn't good enough to run it well). Someday I hope to play Mario & Luigi 3 and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Money just wasn't ample for me that year to get everything I wanted.
