Hmm I actually haven't played that many 2002 games, let alone that I really liked. A lot of games released this year I felt were inferior than their predecessors. Even NWN, which I played hundred of hours, would only become one of my favorites later on, its base game is really weak imo.

A bit of a lost year for me. The only game I played a lot of was Morrowind. I later caught up when I purchased a second hand Gamecube maybe five years later.

Also a great year for Metroid. Prime and Fusion were excellent.

You can tell 2002 was the year I was introduced to many games I would love. I couldn't play all the games listed at the time, like RE1 which I specifically waited until I was old enough to play it, but I kept in mind of what games released so that I could play them when I got older or when I had money. and when I did I was very impressed.

Spider-Man 1 (didn't finish because Shocker was too hard )

You are not the only friend, I could not pass the 7th level of the game either, and you have to avoid the sound waves to be able to reach the boss (Shocker) and only 4 hits already beats you And not to mention that the hitbox of the sound waves that the shocker throws is slightly large so you are going to take damage no matter what even if it is a little far away, with those ranged attacks so and it is only possible to go from one train pipe to another using the zip-lash on the wall and you have to have good timing to do it. I tried it more than 10 times and I couldn't pass it either because of how demanding that level is, so it can be a difficulty spike for several players, even if you're good at playing, no matter what difficulty level you play in the game.

Damn I can't believe I forgot to mention it but Mega Man Battle Network 2 is also on my list. But alas. I never finished it. Got as far as Magnet Man's stage with the plane crashing. I lost my game as a kid and I was sad about it because I really loved the 1st one.
