I picked The Sims and THPS not because they are all time favourites but because these were the games my friends and I bonded over at the time. It is bringing back memories thinking about them.

So many great games but I'll only write the ones that affected me the most I guess:

1) Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
2) MechWarrior 4: Vengeance
3) Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption
4) Colin McRae Rally 2.0
5) The Longest Journey

And that's the sum of what games I played in 2000 lol.

I tried some popular ones but didn't like them enough to keep continue playing like Diablo 2. I initially cringed by Deus Ex 1 because so generic matrix-clone conspiracy theory BS so a group of people had to convince me and sell the "immersive sim" aspect to make me play the game after like a decade of its release lol. I liked some other popular games but not enough to make me care about them enough to play them much so never finished them lol.

I wanna twist the thread a little and mention top 1 cursed game of the year 2000: Jet Set Radio. From surface it looks cool and all but from inside it's an ugly game lol.

Never played such a BS 3D platformer game other than this cursed game lol. Worst 3D game controls in undeniable way and if you suck at the game it's the game's fault. The game forces tutorial missions that's too slow and hand-holding which I wished no other game ever forced tutorial and you know what? Tutorials sucked my soul so much I just gave up playing the game and never touched it even with 1000 KM long stick lol. Gameplay was just so bad either they didn't properly test it or intentionally made the game hard just to make it hard. To save my hairs from falling due to stress I just stopped playing the game and if the game was mine I would throw it out of my balcony which I always do when a game is rubbish like a tradition but sadly it was my friend's, so as the Sega Dreamcast lol. Perhaps first time in my life I also wanted to throw a video game console out of my balcony too lol. Because of this BS game people had to kidnap me just so I would be okay playing Tony Hawk PS 4 because I thought it would be that BS in same level or worst lol.
