DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME!

In 1997 China/Taiwan was blessed with a doom like game called Mars3D! It was an interesting game that used code from both Doom AND Duke Nukem 3D. An interesting feat and one that gave us a pretty good game too! You also get some cutscenes and some stuff you normally couldn't do in Doom and Duke Nukem 3D like talk to NPCs you find in the level. In the few hours of testing I did for this I liked what I saw and will be continuing this this is up!

I decided to upload two versions of this game. One is the DOS version that was translated into English and the other is a source port that was created to touch up the game and make it play more like a modern FPS with WSAD controls, updated visuals, etc. From what I was told the DOS version is pretty buggy and while I didn't run into anything huge in my testing, I could absolutely believe that.

Both versions only have 1 episode to play through but the source port allows you to select the unused 2 extra episodes to play on. These seem to be deathmatch levels that you could select by hosting a server but as of uploading this I wanted to get the single player version of this game going. The Source Port version of the game seems to make these levels actual levels with enemys and all so that's a neat addition for the source port version!

I will look into how to make servers for this game in the future and update this accordingly when I do. It would be fun to have!

Enjoy!
