Night Slave (ナイト・スレイブ) is a Platformer 2D/Shooter video game published by Melody and developed by Melody released on March 8th, 1996 for the PC-98.

This is a side scrolling action shooter platformer game with sci-fi mecha themes and some tasteful 18+ yuri content. The kinda thing the PC-98 excels at. It didn't have to be an eroge but would it have been as interesting? The level design and action gameplay is pretty good so yeah.

"Cult classic among cult classics, Night Slave is one of the finest action games for PC-98, heavily influenced by the Assault Suit series. It has a banging FM soundtrack, cool as fuck mech design, a surprisingly decent plot, and of course some lesbian hentai scenes (though they're pretty scarce, all things considered)."

I highly recommend the emulator Neko Project 21/W for playing on Windows. It's the most feature complete emulator for the NEC PC-9801 and is in active development receiving frequent updates. Use this guide for help on how to obtain and configure the emulator.

Note: when using a controller there's no button for the sub weapon (it's dumb I know) You'll have to use a button mapper like AntimicroX/Xpadder/JoytoKey to fully play with a controller if using NP21W.
To use a controller in NP21W go to Device -> Sound option... -> JoyPad and check Use JoyPad-1 to enable the controller for the game. The checkboxes with letters can be used to switch around the face buttons of the controller (ABXY) and checking POV -> X-Y Axis will switch to using D-Pad instead of Analog (only one can be used at a time and not both Analog and D-Pad)
Important Note: this game can be played completely without 18+ content (no lewd scenes) by turning off Visual Scene in the game Configuration from the main menu of the game to change to "Action Game Only" mode.
