Aside from translation, here are some note-worthy to trivial changes:
*Save menu on the map when pressing START
*The selection in LOAD GAME: Continue game, Hi-score that is also a stage select menu after beating the game, and a Stone Armadillo mode game where rolling speed on slopes are doubled (unconfirmed), immunity to spikes (confirmed), and player will sink instead of float in water unless you move (confirmed)
*You can Load and Delete files. The Delete message mentions a Battlebox, however selecting and deleting a file also calls this message for some reason. "No file found" was a better text replacement over the Battlebox.
*Saving the game after you beat it will ask you to save your Hi-score, then on the titlescreen select Load game >> Hi-score will bring up a Stage Selection menu. Replay any stages or straight to the Boss Fight.
*The SUShI stores signs.
