iirc life got in the way - he kindly left a lot of materials for working on it on a gbatemp thread ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/zero-one-sp-english-patch-project-on-indefinite-hiatus.639025/ ), on but I don't think anyone has said they're picking it up.
