the game in the screenshot interestingly was made to take that into account, it's a fangame called collective unconscious that was made with multiplayer in mind so. They made the nexus larger with more rooms so you can just hang out in it, gave the protag some emotes, and it's being built collaboratively in a similar fashion to yume 2kki, it's pretty neat! Also there's events and meetups in each game for hunting down vending machines or just hanging out in specific spots

I managed to beat half of the fan games on there, really wonderful site. I loved exploring through Yume 2kki (I got all 4 endings, still need the sound endings though, took me about 72 hours), one of the best video games I’ve ever played.

Cool! I always liked Yume Nikki. Never beat it (or Yume 2kki) but I had a great time wandering around getting lost in those crazy worlds. Definitely one of the freeware game greats.
