Yu-Gi-Oh!

They REALLLLY love Jack Atlas man. Yeah the structure deck from a while ago is great and probably my favourite in the past few years and yeah the support after that was also cool but like... There ARE other 5D's characters come on Konami. I'm still hyped for this though I just wish we saw something new for Meklord that made them actually playable.

It's really fun reading this thread as someone who hasn't played the game properly in years.

It's like coming into a room full of 12 year olds all using the latest slang and having no idea wtf is going on ::eggmanlaugh

Take me back to original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga territory when it wasn't just about the one card game the entire time ::lurkingi don't understand you young whippersnappers and your synchro-summon skullduggery.

Is Synchro just fusion with extra steps?

I miss that part of the manga. It's the same as JoJo before stands.

Is Synchro just fusion with extra steps?
No actually, with less steps. 🤓🤓
Every single new summoning mechanic is pretty much fusion summoning getting simplified to the point where we now have Link monsters.
A synchro summon is done by using a non tuner and a tuner monster, a tuner monster is effectively a fusion spell card on legs. You're effectively bypassing the spell requirement and doing contact fusion. Xyz is the same except now it's 2 or more monsters with the same level, and link summoning is the same except there's absolutely no requirement, just 2 or more, or hey sometimes even just 1 monster is enough for a link summon.
Sorry, I feel like people really overcomplicate what is probably the simplest part about this game.
So anyway you guys ready for me to explain problem solving card text now?!

Been having fun recently on Master Duel with a silly little Monarch deck I found. While it sometimes can suffer going second depending on what deck I'm facing (stuff that has several omni-negates to make playing unfun) it fun to play in ranked to catch the random player off guard. All thanks to one card. Jurrac Meteor.

Hello again! Yesterday we had the last locals at my city. Everyone was very excited and the power level was higher than before. One of my closest friends won the entire thing playing yummy snake eye. Man, yummy is annoying as hell and nigh unstoppable. One dude playing salamangreat took third place and everyone cheered for him.

I went 3-2. The first round was against atantlean mermail and the dude banished an engraver from my hand with trishula and summoned the water statue at the end of the turn. Thank god super poly exists, too bad that i didn't drew anything orcust and had to do with diabellstar for a whole turn; by the time we finished the first duel, there was only 15 minutes left on the clock (maybe i should have surrendered when the engraver took a hike) and the next duel i don't even remember what i drew but it was bad and he started doing his full combo again and told him "you know what, you win, no need for a double loss here".

The fourth round was against a very well liked person on our community and someone that i look up to. He was playing his favorite deck: D/D/D/D. That was a great match, i got the first duel thanks to the incredible power of high wave king caesar of not being OPT. For the second duel, i had to work a little more, he finished his turn with a spell/trap negate, a caesar and that ddd xyz that attaches your monsters upon effect activation. I managed to dismantle his board with a dark ruler and a feather duster but it wasn't enough to protect me in the next turn from what was to come: he drew for turn and said "i've already won" and started doing some plays which i countered with what i managed to set up when suddenly he started banishing monsters from his graveyard and summoned a big 4000 atk beatstick. Needless to say my board got obliterated. For the third duel, i did the full orcust and azamina combo but i mismanaged my negates and he managed to get that new DDD pendulum monster that came out, some lady in a throne, and he started showing me what it looked like an edo replay of an one card combo; i survived only because i got to steal a key monster with my enlilgirsu. In the end, he congratulated me and surrendered, saying that he could have kept playing but he didn't want a double loss and that i deserved the win since i got my GY full to win in the next turn. He did admit that if he had a bit more time he would have played differently and would have won. Sounds like cope but i think he was right.

Anyway, in the last round i lost like a dumbass because my orcust field spell sneaked into my side deckand i needed it. Told my opponent, told the judges and got a game lost, judge said "check your cards before every duel". Next duel i brick hard and my opponent has full combo even through 4 handtraps. GG. I couldn't even be mad.

All in all, a very pleasant experiencie. I was a bit sad because i have to leave my country soon and that was the last time that i could get to see all of my friends and the people at my community and play a tournament with them. Luckily, my sister already located a place for me to play yugioh at my new city so maybe i will make new friends.

Friends come and go but cardboard is eternal.

(Sorry for the shitty formating)

Since I've finished Season 0 what are the non-filler post-Battle City arcs so I could finally finish with the series since I've watched the first two seasons years ago on Netflix?
