Your ultimate feelgood/comfort game

I've seen there was already an old thread about this, but I want to ask you the same question, just this time you can only choose one game. That one game that can lighten up your day and comfort your heart when going through one of those rough days.

For me that would be Spyro 2. The hub music and the orb sound alone make my brain tingle with joy and nostalgia for easier times.

It used to be Crash Bandicoot 2, then it became 3D fighting games, then H-RPGmaker games, then Outrun coast to coast 2006, then Melty Blood Act Cadenza and now Caravan style shmups.

Soul Calibur 2 is probably one of the few magical fighting games that can truly make you feel chill. Were talking about the all those menu sounds, the voice clips, the orchestral soundtrack, the fun & sometimes goofy campaign missions... "All these character costumes & weapons look sooo cool!"

It has to be between Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma, Devil May Cry 3, Megaman X1, or Project Diva series depending on my mood. Those games always feel like coming home.

I don't think it's that weird, for the longest time Dark Souls 1 has also been a comfort game for me, vibes are unmatched

Probably gen 3&4 Pokemon for me. Sprites plus the music give a great vibe, and the collection aspect gives me some nice busy work to do.
