Maybe these growing pains will lead to a renaissance, which I think would make up for the way these AIs are trained. If not, and this just ends up another get rich quick scheme like crypto and NFTs before it, then I think that's less an issue with AI specifically, and more a weakness in how economies currently work: that less work being necessary to make more stuff means more people starve, but I'm far from knowledgeable enough about socioeconomics to propose a solution.
