So what do you think of em are they helping Gaming or do they bring more harm than good ?

Well I'm not sure exactly about gamergate but it look like they trying to stop harmful talks and insults.

He is not really Political in those Videos.He is simply debunking some misinformation about Gamergate and not saying anything political in my opinion.
And I am not completely sure about the political leaning of the Youtuber but I think he is more Libertarian than anything but well.
Also in regards of leading it into a non Political discussion I seen it as necessary to debunk some misinformation about gamergate before we could proceed with the topic.

I would not trust Wikipedia as it is not a neutral source and very biased wich is also addresed in the Video

Two, I'm so sorry to hear you've been in a *fucking coma* for ten years. Gamergate? What in the hell do you even want to talk about? Gaming websites have been conglomerated, the staffs downsized, and the writers often replaced with AI. By and large, gaming news is disseminated through influencers who are far less obligated to disclose corporate sponsorships than print media, just like movie reviews and most of pop culture coverage at large. There *is* no conversation to be had. Shit's moved on, and not for the better.

As Gamergate as cringe as it sounds is primarily the voice of the Gamers and as long as they will be Gamers not willing to simply watch and be silent there always will be a Gamergate.
And yes things gotten worse its just more reason to go against all the bad stuff happening instead of just laying back and see everything we hold dear go to shit.

Its not just about Body type 1 and body Type 2 much more shit was happening and does happen its annoying though and I don't see the sense who they gather to when they remove Gender from the Game.

I'm not really sure what you're referring to when you say "their actions" as gamergate isn't an organization, it was the targeted harassment of some gaming journalists, developers, and content creators 10 years ago, which (without swaying into politics) I don't think was helpful or conducive to alleviating any of the stated grievances.

I don't think what he stated in the video was accurate. I was around on the internet when this all went down, which was, again, 10 years ago.

The vitriol and misogyny was real, and it was pretty gross.

Like I said trolls did exist and those where naturally the loudest as trolls usually are yet the most of Gamergate did not support or engage in such actions some bad apples where the majority stands cleary against such actions.

Why do you feel that general gaming advocacy requires branding under a ten year old internet slogan that pertained to one specific moment in time? It's not a group, it's not a religion, it was a saying on social media. It's like trying to get a grassroots movement to fight for animal rights in 2025 by shouting "Harambe!" Why wouldn't this *entirely* different time, with it's own unique problems, warrant slogans and memes that are of the moment? I know you love A.I., but I promise there are still people with unique ideas online, not everything has to be existing concepts regurgitated through an algorithm.

Probably as it develops but who knows.
Its a bit sad that supporting a Movement that stands against Politics/Censorship in Gaming gets so much heat because of Misinformation.

Gamergate is not just a Name or Slogan its a Idea and we stand for the Idea that Games are meant to be fun mostly free from Politics and without Censorship.
And when I say stand against the bad stuff on a Gamergarte Thread I naturally mean against the bad stuff in the Gaming Industry.
Besides we don't always have to start from scratch and like I said Gamergate never truly died to begin with it became silent not dead for a while,it will live as long as bad stuff if happening in the Gaming Industry that upsets enough Gamers.
