What's your favourite hero, anti-hero and villain in games?

In my case they are:

Hero - Geralt Of Rivia. Although we make decisions in the Witcher games, each one somehow fits the character of Geralt as known from the books and stories. Yes, he have dry personality, but he is a man who genuinely cares about doing the right thing. His relationship with Ciri, however, shows another side to his character, as does his complicated relationship with the sorceresses. (although he can also be seen as an anti-hero)

Anti-Hero - Joel Miller. A great guy, a loving father, but also a ruthless man and in the end.... selfish asshole, unable to come to terms with his daughter's death to the point where he condemns humanity to extinction just because Ellie has begun to be like a daughter for him.

Villain - Pagan Min. He seems like a crazy dictator, but in essence he gives us a choice and had nothing to us. He even wants to help us and there are two of the best endings in the game involving this. He calls us up throughout your journey to ask how we are. And at the end of the game he turns out to be better than both leaders of the rebellion (no matter who we support Amita/Sabal won't improve the situation for the people of Kyrat, and will even make it worse)

I want to mention a rather refreshing dynamic between a real hero, antihero and villain in Persona 5. I'll say it without spoilers, it won't make sense to people who didn't play it but those who played will make sense of it.

The real hero: Yuuki Mishima

The real Villain: The SIU Director

The real anti-hero: Ryuji Sakamoto

lololol

The hero(ine) : Estelle Bright (Kiseki : Trails in the Sky, Zero/Azure, Trails of Cold Steel I-III)

Because during the Kiseki series, we follow her growth. She started as a tomboy but gradually she became a shiny, a lovely and a badass woman.

The Anti-Hero : Fusaishi Haruaki (Raging Loop)

He's clever, brillant, funny and charismatic. But he can be a manipulative a**hole.

The Villain : I don't know...maybe Monokuma (Danganronpa series)

Upupupupu...

Hero:

This was an easy choice for me. Zero. He's just a no nonsense, straight to business, badass. You put evil in front of him and he will cut it down, and he won't stress over it like a certain blue pacifist does. He is the ultimate warrior who is a master of any weapon and there are no known limits to his power. Zero would never call himself a hero, but everyone knows that he is.

Anti-Hero

I never gave much thought to who my favorite gaming anti-hero was before seeing this thread, but I think I'll go with Sly Cooper. Technically, he's a criminal and a thief, but he does have a moral code, a heart, and a sense of honor. But at the end of the day, he doesn't care about the law and even works with people who are (or were) criminals. And while the games portray him as a good guy, he always seeks his own goals rather than any greater good. Sly's not the kind of guy to devote himself to a cause. He's a rogue, a gentleman thief.

Villain

I had to think about this one too, but I think I'll go with Dr. Wily. The most brilliant mind in the Mega Man universe, whose actions caused havoc for humans in the Mega Man series and continued to do so for both the humans and robots (or reploids if you wanna get technical) in the Mega Man X series. It's assumed that he died after the Mega Man series and yet his presence is still strongly felt in the Mega Man X series like a vengeful ghost as there are several clues to him still being around and influencing events in some way. Death is but a small inconvenience to Dr. Wily.

His final creation would become the greatest reploid to ever live surpassing his rival Dr. Light's greatest creation, but perhaps not in the way Wily intended. Zero would become the greatest reploid hero in the Mega Man Zero series and ultimately accomplish what Mega Man X could not. When all was said and done, Wily would leave a lasting imprint on the world both in good ways and in bad ways as the greatest scientist who ever lived.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Anyway...

Hero: Alex Noah (from Lunar: The Silver Star Story).

He has such a wholesome character arc and is always the nicest guy in the room, regardless of the situation. It's very easy to root for him.

Anti-Hero: I'm gonna go with Joel for exactly the reasons you described.

Villain: Mint (from Threads Of Fate): Yes, she's technically the hero... but she's so deliciously evil throughout the whole thing that is impossible to see her as your classic "good gal", specially as she continues making enemies even as people she had wronged are willing to put that aside for the greater good.

The one in hundred line is the best villain (not gonna say who tho)
-Best hero is definitely Adol
-Best Anti-Hero ...i dunno Crow maybe ?
