It's a sidescrolling survival horror game (yes you read that correctly) with incredible art direction. It's criminal this game didn't get more attention. Amazing puzzles, a huge open world, tight controls and incredible atmosphere. Part of the reason why it never got much attention is because it's paid homebrew. It was also never released on ᏟDᏒ. It's actually the only NES rom I've ever paid money for. It's available on steam and certain romsites still and I really encourage everyone to give this a try. It's clearly inspired by esrly Mega Man and I Wanna Be the Guy. Tough as nails but has lots of checkpoints and quick retries. It's got cleverly designed challenges and a huge interconnected Metroidvania-style map. Great boss battles in this one with a Metal Gear inspired story.
