This is the kind of thing I just can't get enough of: a gray, plastic brick that took advantage of the newfangled Infrared (IR) technology to turn your EVERY NES controller into a wireless one, even the Zapper!

It just sounds utterly amazing... And, apparently, Nintendo thought so too because they officially licensed it after very clearly telling the same company to fuck right off when they approached them with their Game Genie idea.

Was this gimmicky as all hell? Absolutely! But... How could you resist? I'm tempted to order one off eBay just to try it out!

Camerica were really ahead of the game, huh?

Man Nes had a really weird accessories ahead of their time, although the idea on board was good but the execution is poor but man sometimes is cool to have one because is cool and unique and if works it works

Being wireless controller on NES is really cool if that really work on the time then is one heck of gadget (save of all mother's headache) yeah really ahead of it time.

I mean, technically Atari made wireless controllers for the 2600, so Camerica was a bit late to the party.

Still, this IS an innovative concept for its era. Kinda reminds me of those 8BitDo IR sensors for the SNES.

I heard that those are really, really nice -- and not even that chunky for the era they came out in.
