Changelog summary:

"This patch fixes a couple of issues with the update checker, a rare crash involving the rewind buffer, and comes with the usual set of graphics bug squashing. It also includes improvements from a new contributor, @mmkzer0, and a significant change to VDP1 rendering that fixes a long-standing issue with threaded rendering.

As noted in the previous version, future updates (such as this one) will not be as substantial as previous ones as I'm splitting my time with other activities."

The moment I go looking for a Saturn Emulator, someone posts a recently updated one on RGT...

You better pay rent in you're living in my walls. So very spoooky....

How does it compare to Yabause, Mednafen, etc.? The compatibility list looks good, but what's the practical performance like?
Compatibility is near Mednafen, I think, and performance wise is like Mednafen too or sometimes perhaps a bit faster?

Try it, maybe it could be your new favorite, recently it got bumped to 2nd place on the Sega Saturn section of the Emulation wiki.

It has a traditional desktop interface, have a setting to enable real transparencies on games, have a save manager, etc.

It's most developed emulator AFAIK and when it gets the ability to multiply the resolution like duckstation/pcsx2 it will become the number one. ::thumbsupwario
