Handsome Jack is top tier as a villain yet I miss the western feeling of the first and the humour wasn't overly present. The world of Pandora even felt more cynical. A more recent example would probably be Grapple Dog, the sequel improved but I was less fan of the other character's gameplay and the levels felt a bit less challenging. World of Goo as well. WoG 2 is good but 15 years after it felt less impactful, it should've been made in 2010 - 2011... Half-Life 1 but that's nostalgia speaking. HL² has an impressive engine but I didn't like the lack of the claustrophobia, the removal of some of the more memorable enemies like the bullsquids and houndeye as well as having too many humanoid/soldier type of foes. The ragdolls are funny to look at but I miss gibbing and I also find that Gordon Freeman became too much of a saviour while HL1 was about a random scientist surviving the incident. [/QUOTE]
