i just finished it. credits song was amazing grace which i thought was kinda weird. combat was pretty serviceable. plot was interesting. game has a trust system with haruka that i didn't discover until near the end of the game. its a really cool game though. i give it an arbitrary numerical value of 8/10.

OG English dub, Undub or Kiwami remake?

it was undub. i did actually play the kiwami version before but i didn't like how they balanced the game after bringing the style switching over from 0. i never finished that version.

i'm thinking of going into yakuza 2 as my next game.

That's fair. I've only ever played the PS2 version with its wild English dub, but never in the original Japanese. I have played Kiwami a couple of times though.
