As the title says they announced a definitive version for Xenoblade Chronicles X. Finally all of the Xenoblade games are on the switch. The last Xenoblade port was pretty good, and by the looks of it this one will be equally as good. Been meaning to play it but didn't have a Wii u, so I will probably be picking this up!

Love that the Switch will have every xeno game on one console.

Is switch emulation actually good on steamdeck? I tried it on iphone and it was pretty good so I'm curious(don't have a deck).
its pretty much perfect, havent had any issues playing any game ive tried at full speed, and it looks better

def the best way to play switch games imo!

This announcement made my day because I really wanted to see Switch port of this game. I like my Wii U but still I prefer to have my games on system that I use more often. I also hope that we will get ports of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker before Switch 2 release.

I have yet to play the original release, or finish the first game for that matter. I hate to admit it but this franchise never really caught on with me, and I am definitely someone who spent most of my earlier years just eating up any JRPG I stumbled across but this series didn't click with me.

I'm both hoping and dreading for this release. On the one hand, they said they actually are trying to fix up the story by adding in some (though probably not all) of the missing parts of it. There might also be new side missions, possibly new alien species to join NLA, and improvements to QoL (such as actually explaining how the various gameplay systems work so you don't have to look up a guide). That might make it worth playing again.

On the other hand, I'm doubtful they will fix all of the flaws, especially because that requires rewriting. Particularly, the less likeable side characters (mostly non-story, thank goodness) could use some better characterization, and various bits of dialog could be written more naturally. And Tatsu needs a total rewrite; he's the only character in the game that comes close to being as despicable as the cast of Xenoblade 2. Unfortunately, I don't have high hopes for that much work to be done to really improve the game.

Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed playing XCX when the characters stopped making shitty repetitive jokes and saying "there's something about this planet" for the Nth time. And on some level I do want to play it again. I just don't want to have to listen to them yap like morons again.

As a mecha fan I've looking forward to this for years. The designs are so fucking good and the fact you have to play 20 hours first before getting your mech is so cool. The antici

pation is delicious!

I think this is one of the best part of the series.

I hope they'll make a 4K and 60fps update (Mario Odyssey style) rather than slapping all that on a Switch 2 edition/10 bucks upgrade...this game (just like the rest of the series) look insanely gorgeous. I'm still at chapter 2 and I'm so mad the game hasn't got valued already in these months in the newer console.
