Xbox fans finally get a chance to catch up with recent some recent Final Fantasy games — including a shadow drop of Final Fantasy 16 today.
Later this year, sometime this winter, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will also follow on Cloud Gaming!

Kind of sad how xbox players treated like third rate citizens by square. It took them how many years to get FFXIV to xbox.

This is why I hate exclusives treating games like it´s a jar of caviar only meant for the rich and stupid. Games should be enjoyed by every one but almighty Nintendo and Sony things they are Gucci or some shit.

But they need to sell more console to make money. If you can´t sell consoles based on how good the console it self is maybe quit making consoles and just make games for PC.

If your product can´t sell on it own merits maybe give up and find a new job.

the Series S/X is has gone on sale super cheap a few different times. at $350 USD the Series X is a solid value IF you have a collection of 360 or Xbox One games which will have big performance improvements by playing them on the newer hardware

also, the Series S/X makes a great retro emulation machine, it used to be very simple to set that up but now microsoft requires you to buy a dev account so it's a bit more obnoxious to get going but it's still pretty rad to have a device that easily hooks up to the TV that can emulate every console up through PS2/Wii

For me personally it was a pretty easy choice because Gamepass had way more value than PS+ for me, and I haven’t been interested in Sony exclusives since Spider-Man 2018.

(Also a boon that my brother already had a PS5 so I could try whatever games he got like FF16 and Demon’s Souls whenever I visit him)

Series S is the best console of this gen by far, hardware wise. Relatively small, powerful enough for playing most games, lower price and lower power consumption. The issue is the physical media, which I don't like to be digital only.

And by the way, why to waste money for a Series X for emulation? Series S CPU is almost the same, and the console will cost you a lot less. It makes no sense to choose Series X over Series S for emulation purposes.

Makes sense, FFXVI is more like western fantasy games. XBOX is the perfect home for that.

There are dozens of us! Dozens!

I enjoy my Series X a lot but it's hard to have any faith in Microsoft at this point. They've improved over the Xbox One era but people who are locked into Playstation are not going to move over. Having stuff like FF7 Remake on Xbox is cool, but most people who want to play it have likely already done so. At least with Switch there is the novelty of it being portable.

Still, better to get this stuff late than never.
