Worst Fandoms for a game?

On the flip side, my favorite fandoms are those that filled with cool people that are open to fun and engaging discussion. Negative or positive.

I don't interact with too many different fandoms online honestly, and the ones that i do rarely interact with, or see don't really bother me very much. The exception to that would be soulsbourne/soulslike fans. (which has probably been said somewhere in this thread already) In my attempts to engage I've noticed two common traits:
1.Being unable/unwilling to have nuanced discussions on game design
2. Complaining about other genres overflooding the market, but never seem to feel this with soulslikes/ get irrationally angry when you mention that.

Btw when i say this i don't necessarily mean constant discussions around difficulty. I mean just game design in general, why things are designed the way they are, whats rewarding whats not rewarding etc etc. Those discussions, which have nothing to do with difficulty for the most part, always get turned into "you suck at these games thats why u dont like them, git gud".

Honest take? Metroid Other: M.

While its story isn't great at all (and the little Zero Suit segment you do post-game was...eh), I actually did enjoyed its main gameplay. The fact that it was fully playable with the Wii Mote and pointing you put the game in first-person was actually a very interesting and cool mechanic. The game got way too much crapped on when it's fairly good, even if with its flaws.

I also saw who did the laugh react to your take. Don't mind them, dude, especially the obvious troll with the worst takes. I 100% agree with you. Thank god NG 2 Black exists.

All Fandoms kek , i took the decision to not join any servers in discord or interact with any PS1 or emulation games i played that also extends to YouTube videos etc etc , literally nothing i just play the game make up my mind about it and move on i don't care what the Fandom sees good or bad but let me tell you FINAL FANTASY 8 IS GOOD kek

I seen another guy talking about how SH2 is the only game that's talked about and my response is CAAAAAAP I'm SH1 biggest fan just call me in when you want someone to discuss Silent Hill 1.

Case and point don't interact too much with Fandoms i already have my swamps i won't pick new swamps WarCraft community is well bad enough that's all I'm going to say

I also don’t really engage with the gaming community that much online (outside of this one i think) but even then you’ll see translation drama and I guess I’m just somewhat used to ignoring that.

A lot of gaming communities are just bad the more you engage with them, and they mostly act similar even if the games are different (going from one game fandom to another you might not see much of a difference in behavior) honestly you don't really need much interaction from gamers online especially when you have played them since childhood. You eventually see the same opinions over and over again and you get a little tired of it imo.

True , it's always complaining for the most part the amount of positive discussion in games pales in comparison to the negative and it can be found on all communities save sudden strike in that niche community I'm the one who complains a lot

I'm with you on FFVIII and Silent Hill 1 btw, two top tier PS1 games.
