The Pointer seems to remain on screen unless I use the Dpad (which if I recall, is normal for Wii Sports). if I hold my finger to the screen for a moment if the Pointer is not on screen, then the Pointer shows up. I can use the Pointer without holding the screen upwards. If this doesn't help, let me know what your settings are for Motion Simulation. I have a hunch that the problem could be from there.
