I used to like Amazon, used to be a Prime subscriber, however that stopped 10+ years ago when they stopped having good deals. That said, I did just use a free month of Prime that I had, I ordered some games (one of them an "Amazon Exclusive" that's not sold elsewhere), as well as some that were on sale for Black Friday. The game that's an "Amazon Exclusive" came out on November 11th currently has a delivery estimate of December 6 - January 12, whereas the Black Friday game order that was made on November 23rd says "Delayed, not yet shipped."

We also ordered stuff from Walmart, Sam's Club, Best Buy, Woot, etc., and all of that stuff arrived in a few days after ordering.

BBen spitting as Texas is facing my country so it's worth it

Cause when i want something fast like pencils or copic markers that i cant find in a art store, Amazon gets them to my door in a day. Pretty convenient
I wish mine was fast. Taking up to almost TWO months to a ship a game? That's ridiculous. The only reason I haven't canceled is because it's literally not sold anywhere else. It's the Sacred 2 Remaster for PS5, and while it's reportedly a mess, I still want it for the collection.

I cancelled Amazon Prime after the largest shareholder and former CEO, who is a greedy scumbag who likes the destruction of the world and oppression if it makes him rich, bought a newspaper and also killed an article that was going to criticize a nazi.

It's not a coincidence that one extremely rich sociopath bought a mass communication medium (Washington Post), and another extremely rich sociopath bought another mass communication medium (Twitter). Mass social control.

For people who somehow don't know it yet, it's easier than ever to find and buy things from other online stores today. In other words, it's easier than ever to cancel and stop using the one in question. Yet you see piles of their packages in front of every home, every day.

yeah and that's the reason why "porch pirates" exist.

To get their packages faster than the average Amazon shopper. That's it.

If I were to pay for Prime, it's certainly not going to be for watching TV shows, movies, sports, or even anime.

To be fair, I think that can be a problem for any distributor. Last year, I encountered that when buying a laptop straight from the manufacturer (not involving amazon at all) on a really good black Friday deal. Didn't ship till next year >_< I think inventory gets screwed up around the end of the year, and many try to sell items they actually don't have stocked trying to make those numbers for black Friday...

Same, it's not art supplies for me, but I often need aftermarket parts/tools throughout the year that 1) I can't find locally 2) need fast and 3) I make many small purchases that would not meet the minimum for free shipping.

Also, I don't have a car, so even some "everyday" items are worth it for me to just order than to travel and get or carry on my motorcycle >_< For me, amazon prime pays for itself a few times over in shipping (which is all I use it for), hence why I keep it.

I only use it because I'm too lazy to go buy x-mas presents. That's pretty much it. I did like the streaming service but their new ad driven pay more to make it go away horseshit is stupid. They have enough money, just give us all a good service model and a go from there.

Im a carer and find when i mingle with the public too much now i fall ill. When i worked instore at a busy supermarket for 17 years i brought everything home with me or loaded it up in a car at 8am before shift.

I pretty much hate everyone so I'd own nothing if I decided to boycott. 😂

The supermarket i was working for and giving my soul to is no different than amazon so i really can't take any moral high ground. If you search tesco you'll know.

I kind of don't like paying for stuff like that when I can get my stuff just as fast by walking to the store (even if it is multiple stores I have to try out before finding the one that has the desired item/s) or through some elbow grease.

Sure, convenience is lost and all... But I feel that turning into a hermit is already easy enough without the extra help, so I tend to avoid it.
