Sometimes here, sometimes there!
Good day everyone I have a interesting question vor all of you: Why do you play games??? I read a lot of comments here from people who are just getting upset about things like this. Then I ask myself why you still bother you with things like this, just to get angry at game developers or just out of boredom???

( For example, I play to relax and simply switch off from this world that to a certain extent always seems to be trying to destroy us. I don't really care if the game is old or new as long as it's good I'll play it. I'm always excited to see how the world of gaming has evolved graphically and how it will continue to evolve. Of course a lot has changed in recent years but that's just life. What's the point of getting upset or thinking about it?
That's my opinion. )

I love video games too! 😊
I play them for various reasons... for fun, for learning new things... honing my creativity, and more! 😃

There's always things to learn from video games! i learn both from their weaknesses and their strong points! 🌟

To harass women and minorities. I'm not sure how playing single player games does that exactly but the gaming journalists told me so and those paragons of virtue wouldn't lie to me, would they?

Any number of reasons, really.
Sometimes to feel like I'm beating a challenge, sometimes because I want to appreciate the art and craftsmanship that goes into making them, sometimes because they touch on themes and concepts I find interesting and want to learn more about, sometimes because they make me feel something (including anger, for that matter - games can be a good, harmless outlet for that kind of thing in my mind), sometimes because I like discussing them with friends afterwards, sometimes because I want to understand what led to their creation or why people enjoy them, and and and and and.

Games are a uniquely complex (and wonderful) form of entertainment (or art if that distinction matters to you) and the same goes for how and why people play them.

I would definitely draw a distinction between the reasons why and how people play videogames and the vitriolic online/media culture that surrounds them.

The internet makes people crazy and I generally think that the way people behave online is not 100 percent accurate to how they'd behave and think in real life.
Or at least I want to think that, since the alternative would be horrifying.

It's because I like to do fun stuff, I like to be part of an action. For example my favourite sport is basketball but I have no fun watching it, I don't follow a particular team or player because what I like is playing it so instead I play it whether meself or in video games. More than being an "action man" I like games. Games as in there is a goal and fun rules for gameplay, so not limited by video games. My school life spent in inventing games during or between classes like during math class me trying to throw pieces of eraser inside of stuff, making me pencils stand erect in perfect balance so they don't fall, also putting pieces of papers as "targets" and I use my ruler as catapult and eraser as rock and imagine scenarios of me evil king attacking poor countries lol.

I also like educational part of video games but not that I play educational genre games per se, but I mean playing ordinary AAA game and liking it teaches me something. For example me liking cars and learning about tons of cars in Gran Turismo was fun. In that context video games' real value for me in the way I can do lots of crazy shit in them without risking my life by doing them IRL. That's why I stick to car racing and drifting in video games but I avoid doing it IRL.

But I don't like to watch so my hobby is not watching a movie, tv series and absolutely not animes unless they have very interesting stories and/or they have educational aspect to them and/or they make me think interesting stuff. So in short I'm not a guy who can enjoy action movies unless the action movie is somewhat funny or have fun different scenes like why I liked to watch "Kick-Ass", otherwise doing pew pew action is boring and watching it is more boring. Since my hobby gets limited video games have become my few hobby there can be.

Well because is fun and adventure only video games felt like a new adventure everyday.

I love video games

And we have ::angrygenjin instead that is really an ugly emote, but if it wasn't that ugly people may have wanted to use it way more often and then this website would have lots of skulls than Catacombs of Paris!!! lol

True bro, what the point of thinking or being critical at all!
Just bend over don't ask questions, consume product and get excited for next product!!

If you think people being """upset""" over your threads because they HATE video games, you completely missing the points

There is nothing else to do.

I play vg mainly to relax, to take my mind off problems that sometimes weigh me down, to have fun, and to dream a little. It’s kind of like when you read a good book, listen to great music, or travel and discover new and fascinating things. This art form lets you dive into fantastic worlds—sometimes oppressive and claustrophobic—that can actually make you appreciate real life even more. That’s how I see it.
