I feel like finally playing another Saturn RPG.

I know that I want to play one of these 5 games:

Grandia
Lunar 2
Valhollian
The Story of Thor 2/Legend of Oasis
Linkle Liver Story

On a side note, Shining The Holy Ark is my fave Saturn game. I also like Guardian Heroes a lot, and I have happy memories going through Legend Of Eldean.

I also wanna play Shining Force 3, Dark Savior, Castlevania: SOTN and Princess Crown one day, but not right now. I've asked around and looked into all of the other translated Saturn RPGs and they don't interest me.

I enjoyed my time with Linkle Liver Story, so I'll nominate that one.

I gotta say grandia, overall really fun game

Grandia is a definitive Saturn best, better than the PSX ver. Panzer Dragoon Saga is also excellent and a legendary title tho it's more an air battle beat em up than your usual RPG.

I vote Grandia as well - assuming you haven't played it yet, it's a really heartwarming, earnest romp! It's quite long though, so keep that in mind.

All of those games are great though, so you're going to have a good time no matter what, I'd wager.
Shining the Holy Ark is a banger btw, great taste there - hope you enjoy Shining Force 3 as well whenever you get around to it, that one is one (or three, I suppsoe) of my favourite TRPGs ever.

I would say Grandia as well. Is there anything different/new about the Lunar 2 port? If it's the same as it is elsewhere I'm not sure what the benefit would be to seeing the SS version over others.

I decided to go with Grandia, but my question is, is the game supposed to look like this. It seems really really bad!

Lunar 2 apparantly isn't fully translated, so that one's not an option anymore.

It's not supposed to be that blurry and pixelated.

Grandia - solid traditional RPG with a focus on adventure. Similar to Lunar in terms of writing, with a new, better battle system. Though I didn't really get into the battles as much until Grandia 2.

Legend of Oasis - if you like Beyond Oasis you'll like this too, very good. But play Beyond first.

Linkle Liver Story - same makers as Crusader of Centy. I didn't like it as much but it's still pretty good, I just thought it took a couple hours to really get good.

Valhollian - this is sadly pretty bad. Horrible balancing where enemy stats are really high compared to yours makes the game tedious.

Could you be more specific with your issue? If you're referring to the lowe resolution and pixelation in the screenshot there - yeah, it's possible to make the game look cleaner. What emulator are you using? If you're on Retroarch, I believe both Kronos and Beetle Saturn should allow you to up the resolution and/or apply filters to your preference.
