Which PS Vita ROM type to use?

I am new to emulating PS Vita and I have no clue what is the difference between ROMs from NoPayStation, NoNpDrm and ROMs marked as vita3k, I know that vita3k ROMs are meant to be used with the emulator, but what I want to know is how are they made, and what differentiates them from other ROM types and if I can use DLC and update files downloaded from NoPayStation with vita3k ROMs? Also, why is it that sometimes the difference in file size is so big?

Since you're into PS Vita emulation, the names actually say a lot. NoNpDrm dumps come from the NoNPDRM plugin on real Vitas. They mimic legit purchases and work on both hardware and emulators like Vita3K. NoPayStation isn’t a format, just a storefront for NoNpDrm-style content. Vita3K dumps are repackaged specifically for the emulator, which explains the file size differences sometimes it’s compression, sometimes missing assets. And yes, you can usually use DLC and updates from NoPayStation with Vita3K ROMs as long as the formats match. It’s pretty much in the name: Vita3K dumps are made for Vita3K.
