not counting the 3rd versions

i went with:
pokemon red
pokemon gold
pokemon sapphire
pokemon leaf green
pokemon pearl
pokemon heartgold
pokemon black
pokemon black 2
pokemon x
pokemon alpha sapphire
pokemon moon
pokemon ultra moon
pokemon shield
and i will probably pick pokemon Scarlet just because my name is Skarlet

Red > Yellow > Green > Silver > Stadium > Stadium 2 > XD > Sapphire (Gamecube) > Soulsilver. Then stopped playing them because it was the same over and over.

During that time, I was also playing Digimon, which I enjoyed as well :)

EDIT: The only 2 games I maxed out getting every pokemon to LV100 were Red and Silver.

Red (Just because it was the first pokemon game I played)
Ultra moon (I'm still playing it)
And although it doesn't count according to the rules of this thread, I guess: Pokemon Emerald

I'm not really a fan of Pokemon, but I'm sticking with these because I simply set out to at least finish Pokemon Emerald.

Oh boy im Senile so lets try to remeber.
Red
Silver
Ruby
Platinum
White
Never played white/black 2
X
Sun

And that´s all I played I not touched Pokemon sense Sun as Game freak/ Nintendo has not invoated in that series sense the first game. I rather Play Palworld and Coromon and I hope I can try the new upcoming Aniimo.

Nintendo can eat a bag of Dog shit.

I started with Pokemon Yellow because of the anime. Honestly I admit my love for the anime made me like Yellow more but IDK IMO after Yellow other versions seemed so empty.

After ignoring lots of Pokemon games I actually liked the Black series due to it was away from the empty childish Pokemon games, it actually cared that Pokemon has a deep serious lore!!! It's a story and therefore dialogue-focused Pokemon series but unlike the damn Pokemon Sword people actually talk about interesting things to expand the Pokemon lore!!!

Afterwards I ignored lots of Pokemon games but settled in Pokemon Ultra Moon — my favorite Pokemon game so far.

And then one of my friends one day said "dude they released a remake of Pokemon Yellow, it's called Pokemon Let's go Pikachu"!!! I was like "nooo way, I bet it sucks!!!!" and then my dude said "yes wayyy duudeee but it actually doesn't suck" and he was right, it's a good remake. I liked the way it's like the original and has the retro feel despite how graphics are improved and all. It also adds cool features over the original and expands the game in a way you can spend lots of fun time in the game even after you are the very best!!! However Pokemon Ultra Moon is still my favorite so far but if it didn't had exist my favorite would be Let's Go Pikachu.

Afterwards honestly no Pokemon game managed to impress me, and damn Pokemon Sword was like the worst main Pokemon game I ever played and other new games seem even worse than that lol. They constantly talk and talk but actually sayin' nothing and you constantly watch the annoying Hop finding new ways to be annoying lol.

I'm not really a Pokemon fan, but I did tried few of the game versions.

Pokemon Platinum, the first Pokemon game I ever played, which I still remember I obliterate the game using overleveled Staraptor.

Pokemon White/White 2, being the Pokemon game that I like the most, and the starting point where I learned how the game actually works, from the type, the stats, etc. (except the EV/IV thingy)

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, I don't know if this was counted, but I still like it to this day, or maybe because I like dungeon crawler type of a game (if this was counted anyway).

I actually played some of the FireRed ROM hacks, but I don't think listing it here would be a great idea.

I stopped being fascinated by pokemon around the release of ruby and sapphire, that said I did try black/white and that was actually pretty great, took me by surprise.

I liked red, loved yellow, gold, even stadium. I was a kid who couldn't really afford to buy a lot of games so Pokémon went to the wayside.

Blue->Yellow->Silver->Crystal->Sapphire->Colosseum->Leafgreen->Emerald->Diamond->Heartgold->Black->X->Alpha Sapphire->Sun->Ultra Sun and after that point I haven't played.

i only ever played pokemon gold as a kid but nowadays i only play pokemon crystal with the "crystal clear" romhack. that shit is the chillest experience i ever had. i just love going around and exploring places from my gaming childhood

uhh let me think I started with Gen 4 so

Diamond
Platinum
SoulSilver
White
Black 2
Y
Omega Ruby
Sun
UltraSun
Sword
Violet

for Gens 1-3, I went Red, Crystal, Emerald and FireRed

Blue
Silver
Ruby
Leaf Green
Pearl
Heart Gold
White
White 2
X
Omega Ruby
Moon
Ultra Moon
Shield
Let's Go Eevee
Violet

My favorites were Blue Version, Silver Version, and my cousin gave me his copy of Emerald. My sister started with Yellow Version.
