Which One Piece games to play if I have no interest in watching or reading the series?

I have never watched the series and at this point I never will because quite frankly I don't have the time to sit through 1000+ chapters when even a 13 chapters one takes me about a week, so here is the question: Which games do I play if I want to understand most of the series without ever having to watch a single chapter?

Obviously if the point is you actually trying to completely understand the series, i'm gonna say there's technically no game series that adapt One Piece completely unlike Naruto with its Storm Series for example.

But considering that you just want to know the Story then, the closest for this One Piece Kaizoku Musou series, you can roughly get atleast 70% of the plot without the nuance just playing that series of a game, but beware it definitely cannot substitute with you watching or reading the series directly.

Oh definitely, I believe the only series that you can realistically play through the entire plot and not miss anything is Dragon Ball. You can play through the original series on both Origins games on the DS, Z has Kakarot and Xenoverse which also covers some of Super arcs so I guess you are missing some GT stuff but that one is only 64 episodes so not that bad to watch. l will take a look at the Musou series, I also don't expect it to have the most recent stuff but that's fine.

I recommend One Piece Odyssey. It is my entry point to the series.

Sidenote: I played it because my wife is a One Piece fan and she isn't good at playing RPGs, but wants to know the game's story, which is supervised by the original author.

Any of the Grand Battle games. They're fighting games. The JP-only 3DS one is very good. You can also play the Pirate Warriors musou games, though there's some story to those.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. But don't expect it to cover all of the arcs.

One Piece Treasure Cruise on mobile. It has a story mode that takes you from island to island/arc to arc in order and between stages it has a super abridged version of the events that are going on. You won't get most of the small details (if any), but you definitely know who's who and why they're doing what they're doing. I'm not sure how long it would take to go through it, but I'm pretty sure you could do it quicker than any of the musou games and definitely quicker than Odyssey.

All I know from One Piece comes from Pirate Warriors 3 and 4 and the Unlimited Cruise games.

I don't think there is a game that helps to really discover the story correctly.
