Forbidden Memories was my first Yu-Gi-Oh! game too! Although I played it over 20 years ago now...
My all-time favourite card and most basic pick:

I never could get it in Forbidden Memories. It takes WAY too long to get enough star chips to buy one.
I love a lot of the ace monsters used by the protagonists of the various anime series.

There are also a handful of decks from more modern Yu-Gi-Oh! that I had a lot of fun playing back in the day:

I stopped playing modern YGO mainly because it's kind of a pain to keep up with everything, but I hope you enjoy your experience with the franchise!
