Anime What's your favorite Villain in the NARUTOverse?

The manga i never read it but i have watched everything animated in NarutoVerse, there are a lot of villains that were awesome or powerful but i mostly focus in the character's background, mentality, personality and reactions when facing difficult situations and strong opponents.

Cant summarize in one so here is it.

''Shut up kid, Haku's already dead... As I was used by Gatō, I used Haku. That was all. I've said it already... in the world of shinobi, there are only those who use and those whom are used. We shinobi are simply tools... what I wanted was his blood, not him... I have no regrets.''

Zabuza Momochi

I'm a sucker for Deidara. His design is so fucking good, his personality is cool and he had so much potential that got wasted(like most characters in this goddamn anime). Since the anime likes the trend of villains becoming good over time he could be friends with Sai or something, they are both weirdo who fight with art.
Also Zabuza was one of the most brilliantly written villains, but that was when Naruto was only starting so a lot of things still were well thought and applied effort upon. Imagine me crying in confusion as a child because "why i'm feeling sad for the bad guys?"

Always thought he was way cooler than Sasuke in the OG Naruto. Then the sequels came and they butchered his design, i don't know what he is supposed to be now

pain, obito, and madara are the best villains in naruto
mostly its because out of all the villains these 3 have the most impact on the story
and didnt come off as some guys that should serve as character development for the MC or just someone who could fill a spot for something to happen so it could have a smooth sailing to the next arc and be forgotten.

That's true! However, I can see why Kishimoto would do that though

If these types of mf keeps appearing after every arc, then Naruto would be so cooked (even Kurama couldn't save him)

not to mention i believe pain and obito have some of the best motivations for a villain. like most shonen though the series doesnt really do a good job at really arguing against it, by the end theyre just simply wrong because they got beaten in a fight. i still personally side with obitos objective to this day, one of my favorite themes to explore and converse about in anything is the 完全楽園 concept

I've only read through the first Naruto story, not Boruto or anything that followed - Zabuza is definitely a good one. Kinda started the show with a showstopper, even if he wound up being insignificant in terms of overall impact.
Maybe Itachi? Even though he was supposed to be this tragic figure or whatever.

Honestly I can´t say much I gave up on Naruto around episode 24 of Shipuden. So during the show before Shipuden it has to be Zabuza no one else comes to mind that was any good villain. I mean Orchi is just a creepy diddy and Kabuto he is just lame.

I love Gaara allot but hes not a villain per say so I don´t count him as a villain.

Visually I love Obito with his many masks, but the white one is definitely my favorite, while at the same time using Madara's gunbai makes him truly a shadow of the Uchiha, visually representing the glory of the clan and also the fear they could strike on their enemies.

In terms of writing I think many are on the same spot for me, Gaara, Zabuza and Orochimaru, are all well written and have interesting world views, even though in Shippuden Gaara and Oro do get less screen time and overall worse plots, but still.

In terms of spectacle everyone knows, Madara is just a bliss to watch every fight, not a dull moment with him, but I think the character is written very badly and the story itself never addresses him properly, his ideals are somewhat vague and contradictory, but different than Gaara for example there's never that moment when his world view is challenged or anything, almost as if the story doesn't want to pick a side if he is evil or not (He is by the way, Uchiha defenders be gone).

Pain and Madara are the obvious choice for me. There's a reason Pain arc is a fan favourite and Madara has one of the best introduction in the series when he mops the floor with the Shinobi alliance.
But I also wish this guy got more screen time.

I wanted to know more about Jashin and the nature of his immortality. Plus he was the right mixture of being funny and scary.
