Random What’s the oldest thing you own?

My guess is the Mario Bros/Duck Hunt NES Cart I own , or one of the original Gameboy games I own being the oldest games

I guess the image in the mirror counts. ::sadkirby

I have some books that were printed in the 40s. This end table I got from my grandparents' house is probably 60+ years old. It needs refinishing. I also have a ceramic James Beam bottle that was a door prize my grandfather got from a tavern. The date stamped on the bottom is 1966. He won a number of door prizes but that's the only one I have. The bulldog holding a shot glass was broken and everyone said it was ugly. Apparently my grandmother hated it. There was another ceramic bottle but it had some rusted metal trim at the top. I kinda regret not taking that stuff before the house was sold.

I think I've got a book from the late 1800s.
I've definitely got a couple of books from the early 1900s though (don't ask, I went through a phase). I've even got a joke book from the 1920s or something (I'd have to search for it to find the exact year). It's full of very racist jokes... and not even good racist jokes. Just jokes that are racist for the sake of being racist. And when a joke isn't being racist, it's just being overly long. There's like two halfway-decent jokes in the entire book.

I don't think those books are even the oldest things that I own either. I've got an ammonite fossil that's let's face it, is DEFINITELY the oldest thing that I own.

Of course I know him, he's me.

In all seriousness though...I'm unsure!

I have some books that were printed back in the 80's.

As of right now, nothing in particular, but I used to own a small handful of antique weapons. My two main one's being an American Civil War Union saber and a WWII-era Mosin-Nagant rifle.

190X? Hard to find an exact date. Oldest to hand. My 1902 copy of The Republic is in storage. Old books rule, and they’re cheaper than you’d expect. (Also fuck Hurst & Company. :p)

The oldest things I own are two: a collection of poems by Gabriello Chiabrera, a Ligurian author at the turn of the 500s and 600s given to me by my mother, and a small Ecce Homo mid-1700s by an unknown author that belonged to my father.
I am very fondly attached to these two items.

Probably some of the WWII propaganda I have under my bed. Previously it would have been a copy of Tommy & Grizel by JM Barrie that was from the early 1900 (I wanna say 1910ish) but we got rid of it a while ago due to not enjoying the story that much.

I also have some old coins that are from pre decimelization but god knows how old they actually are with them too rusted to read the dates.

I think there's some credence to it considering all the evidence in earlier gens.
