PS3 on Android?

Sorry, it's just that it is such a difficult endeavor for Androids to run this kind of thing, as far as I know they don't even generally handle PS2 very well let alone PS3.
Nothing personal, it's just very unlikely to have that level of PS3 emulation on Android anytime soon.

Nothing at the moment but I'm very optimistic about the future I think in the next 5 years we'll be seeing affordable android handhelds capable of playing lightweight PS3 games

Ps2 emulation is pretty solid on android. At least on my phone and ps3 specs are pretty far below modern smartphone specs. People really seem to underestimate how powerful modern devices are even compared to devices from 5-10 years ago let alone the PS3.

Well, that's why I said "as far as I know"; I don't keep up with phone technology. 😅
I hate cell phones, I never even wanted one and would not ever have had one if it hadn't fallen into my lap basically and then spent months trying to return it to the owner who never showed up to meet us.

Anyhow, the last time I tried PS2 I couldn't get it to even boot at full speed, and that was only a couple years ago; I realize I might not have the best android phone for the job, but it ain't like it's more than 2 years old for christs sake.

PS3 emulation on a phone, even if you got it working, would be laggy, eat the battery and turn your phone into a hotplate.

My phone's from 2022 and doesn't have the best chipset for emulation and the only ps2 game it's struggled with is Soul Caliber 3 with the graphics pushed up as high as they'll go and that's only in levels with a lot of sunlight for some reason.

Phones are great. The way software is handled on them is awful and really holds them back from their actual potential.

Perhaps the same can be said of  all technology..
I wouldn't say all technology but a lot of modern technology has gone kind of the opposite of the way I'd hoped it would have back when I was younger and more hopeful.

Same.
Having emerged into a world with glorious skyscrapers and amazing technological progression, I had some level of expectation of human society and their ability of acceptance for others who are different.

How little I knew.

You'll probably be better off if you can find Switch ports of the games you want.

(There are also native ports of a few games now, like Hitman Absolution).

I mean i guess that's an issue too but I was referring more to the way technology seemed to have gone from a tool that was supposed to generally empower the average person to being toys provided by companies to spy on the average person and subtly control their lives.

There's so many terrible things people use technology for. Like guns.

I feel like this is getting pretty far off topic from mobile phones and playstations and probably isn't the best discussion to get into in this thread.
