Whats the Best and worst pokemon game? (Besides za)

Best mainline is HGSS
Worst mainline is SwSh

Best spinoff is (probably) Mystery Dungeon Red (only played that one and Super)
Worst spinoff is Dash

Now, I've played far from every spinoff game so I of course could only count the handful ones I've played, but it's kind of tough because I feel like I've enjoyed most of the ones I've played in similar amounts, just that I'm biased towards dungeon crawlers so I went with Mystery Dungeon Red, but I feel like I enjoyed Snap and Stadium just as much.

The best for me it's Black/White 2. The pixel art peaked and personally i like a lot the pokemons of that generation. After that 5th generation started a slow and steady decline.

The worst is Legend: Arceus. I don't understand why people likes that game and call it a fresh new game with lots of cool and new stuff. All the locations are big with really nothing of interesting to visit, just big open spaces with low effort on adding any element.

I don't think there is an objectively good and bad pokemon game since all of them fall into the same spectrum as being good with some bad elements into them, just like any other form of cricisim any other game or other piece of media can get.

That being said, the only Pokemon games I really enjoyed is Gen IV Pokemon (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/Heart Gold/Soul Silver) and the one I didn't like much is Gen I (Red/Green/Blue/Yellow)

The best for me were : Pokemon Heart gold and soul silver Pokemon X & Y, Let's go Eevee & Pikachu and Pokemon Legends of Arceus, Pokemon Black and White.
That was my taste others probably like other parts it always depends on taste.

I think the absolute best was Silver (even though it was really hurt by cartridge and technological limitations axing both the Safari Zone and Viridian Forest, as well as some other areas).

Worst? Probably Diamond, Platinum and Pearl -- that's the first generation when I felt like the wheels were coming off.

I'd say the best is BW/B2W2 with the worst being Quest or SV. I genuinely haven't felt anything while playing a Pokemon game since XY; everything else has been 5/10 or 7/10 at best

Worse ios subjetive, i have found people actually enjoying SwSH (Bit barely anyone that liked ViSt LMAO) that said:

Best is definitively The Black Duology, great story, HMs are either axed or improved as a exploration mechanic, music is great and while derivative of Gen 1, the Gen V Dex is easly the most memorable and the second most unique one next to Gen 8 (Yes, i like Gen 8 by its dex, hot take)
