What's one game you want to play/complete for a long time but don't have confidence in it

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, and Recettear. I enjoy these games and want to play them, but each have things that give me the feeling I'm either not going to be able to beat them, or won't have fun beating them.
Recettear especially. It's fun and all, but timed mechanics in games make me feel pressure that makes me not want to even do anything. The dungeon crawling is fun, the shop mechanic is pretty cool. It's all in the timer that hurts the game for me. I always feel like I'm doing the wrong thing. It's also what turns me off of a game like Touhou: Mystia's Izakaya.
I want to enjoy these games. I find myself time and time again unable to.

Souls games. I tried Elden Ring, but it being open world didn't feel right to me. I tried Demon's Souls on RPCS3, but I ended up getting distracted by the Ace Combat series instead lol I also remember getting Bloodborne for around 10 bucks, but then Monster Hunter World came out, so I instantly forgot about Bloodborne 💀

I’ve been avoiding the NES Legend of Zelda games, thinking I’ll get stuck on those tough oldschool challenging parts.
The challenge in both titles is locating stuff on the map, really. Everything else is pattern recognition and player positioning. You can grind your way out of trouble in most cases, should a case arise. Both last boss fights can be tricky but Zelda II specifically can be exploited to super easy status.

I never run away from a challenge. It's more like stalling, knowing from experience that (fully) completing some games takes a toll on you. Will play it eventually.

Long games are a little intimidating to start. Anything over an estimate of over like 50 years I tend to put off, even if I think the game looks really cool. Started Cyber Sleuth a while ago but had to put it on the back burner cause of how beefy it is.

I've been planning to get into more Turn-Based-RPGs, but they look too overwhelming to me sometimes. The ones I'm most interested in are Mother 1 (I wanna play the whole trilogy) and some FF games, like 6 or 8 (I've only ever played FF Mystic Quest and liked it lmao)
Besides that, I want to try the whole like PS2 catalogue at some point lol

Theres a lot of older more complex games I wanna get into but i'm very intimidated by and am waiting to be in the right mindset. Stuff like the original Xcom, and Nethack. Also old text adventure games like Trinity.
