Its AI is programmed to overtake you and you can use this to your advantage by swerving! Memorization is a skill, practice it by learning where the bribe locations are. The game even gives you an indestructible car well before Espresso-2-Go addressing one of your key complaints! A challenge isn't bad design, challenge is the whole point! Now get back to practicing.
