In both games, getting every collectible is very important to the plot in some way. In KD3, you're helping people all around Dream Land, and getting their gratitude in the form of the Heart Stars. Said forms of gratitude are what allow you to create the weapon that lets you defeat the big cloud of darkness that was drowning Dream Land. Leaving some people in Dreamland completely unhelped and unhappy would kinda mess up the (really simple) message of the game. The collectibles of K64 also have something like this; First thing the Fairy queen did at the start of the game was making Ribbon get the crystal to safety. She fails right away, of course, but it doesn't really matter, because Kirby is there to help her put it together again. Zero Two's battle is a direct reward for helping Ribbon the whole way in; The player makes sure that Ribbon's quest was worth it in the end, and the game rewards them with helping her and her planet, one last time. I don't think moving the completion percent to 85% would work for those specific reason. I can, however, see an easy mode being implemented to make the task as a whole lot easier. I've seen a few screenshots of the romhack. Not gonna lie, it looks really darn pretty. Better than any gamboy color game, i'd say. And having to listen a singular song for most of the game sound like total AGONY. The classic Sonic games did that with Super Sonic's theme, and it gets tiring quick. [/QUOTE]
