It's also what kind of got me to start looking at things a bit deeper and start analyzing themes and deeper meanings to shows, movies etc. Made me go back and look at things I already loved, but perhaps didn't fully understand why I loved them outside of appealing/entertainment value and appreciate them in a new light. It's why I'll always love it and sing it's praises everytime. The films of Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch are a big source of inspiration for me as well. Again, encouraging me to think harder and deeper about what I'm engaging with at the time, but also to just generally try and think differently overall, which for someone like me whose always been naturally curious and would easily spend entire afternoons reading and researching whatever topic I was interested in at the moment has been nothing but a benefit. Kubricks films particuarly inspire me in the sense he never pigeonholed himself to one type of film or genre. He had a lot of interests and his films reflected that, tackling any genre and staying true to his own visions and never compromising or playing it safe.
