What is your greastest fear?

My friend and I were discussing our number one fear today at work. It got me really thinking what mine was exactly. I think I fear not being successful or achieving goals. I don't want others thinking I'm not good enough so I push myself to the limit a lot of times when I don't have to. It's definitely something I need some self love on. It's tiring.

I guess being singled out or being pushed out of a group. I have a lot of anxiety over fitting in or being liked. Also spiders.

As a kid? Melting. From lava, from acid, from man-eating slime monsters, from plasma weapons in Fallout (if I played the originals as a kid).

As an adult? Dying in obscurity from a healthcare problem. This is accompanied by a fear that a) my loved ones on the internet would never have closure on why I disappeared one day, and b) that I will never get a chance to even self-publish my writing, even if no one cares but me.

Runner-up adult fear? The apocalypse. The less I elaborate, the better.

I had a dream where all the stars in the universe were going out and my skin is see through and my organs like my lungs and heart are on the outside of my joints and when I try to talk or thing my talk/think speed goes erratically fast and slow. that was like the jist of it.

Although I actually think that it sounds cool now!

I guess I'm in the mood to mope.

This is a hard question for me since I'm fearful of most things. At some points in my life I deemed myself "panphobic", but I feel this term implies irrationality and engenders mockery.

That being said, my greatest fear is being put in a position where I am unable to shield myself from my other fears.

i'm afraid of getting shot. in the US you really just have to make one person mad at the wrong time to end up dead as hell.

Wanna here a fact. In my religion, If you had done nothing wrong and still get shot in an act of aggression by the one holding the gun, he would be sent straight to hell (unless he repents and asks you and God for forgiveness and you both forgive him) and you would be sent to heaven (with account to how well you did in your life).
