Apart from the Nintendo 64 version, which I also played, I have also played the PlayStation 1 version and the Dreamcast version are good versions of a good Spider-Man game from 2000.

The guy sold me the game as "this is like Mortal Kombat!! Real pictures for characters but it's beat 'em up" and I wanted to try it. I had no idea about what is "superhero" back then. The only comics we knew was the classic ones that are more like crime fighters in their own context but I only read Martin Mystere who just investigate intresting situations lol.

The game was pretty good from what I remember. I think it was developed by the same team behind Head Over Heels.

my older cousin had X-Men 1 and 2 on Sega Genesis. Those were the only games I would ask him to let me play on Sega Genesis whenever i visited him just because I was such a huge fan of X-Men The Animated Series. :)

Man, X-Men 2 is just a cool game. Even back then had no idea about X-Men but just for my beloved Gambit I played the game a lot!!!

I'd say TMNT are superheroes, they come from comics and were originally a spoof of Daredevil and X-Men.

Saw, forgot which Batman game it was

Played, it's Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes EX Edition for the PSX; loved Roll's theme there

P.S. I saw X-Men: Children of the Atom and X-Men vs. Street Fighter beforehand, but never wanted to play them. I'm weird, I know...

It's been a while, but the first Superhero game I can remember ever playing was Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage on the SNES.

I think the Batman Begins movie tie-in game on Xbox was the first one I played, but it wasn't mine so if I'm going off the first superhero game I personally owned, then it was Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

It was either Separation Anxiety or Maximum Carnage for the Genesis.
I did play stuff like Dick Tracy for the NES, but i dont think of him as a super hero.
