It was a good time .I had my first job and bought the N64 first and the PS1 later.I remember i bought FF7 and Metal Gear Solid as my first games.

A PS1, well technically it was handed down to me by a cousin who bought a PS2 back in the early 2000s and since it’s backwards compatible he gave it to me rather than letting it sit there collecting dust.

The big fat PS! I had a mod chip for it too. There was a local mom and pop video store run by this older Japanese couple and their son, and they had a lot of import games when I was a kid. I recall their son telling my dad about mod chips so I could play Japanese games. I think while the PS wasn't my first console, it was probably the one that really launched me into being a total gaming fanatic.

Skipped the PS1 (my parents were too cheap to buy me one) and went straight to the PS2 around 2002. I got it bundled with FFX and the Spider-Man movie.

Also the PS2 was my first sony console but I had the Super Slim model with 5 games included (White Box) that my dad gave me at Christmas in 2011.

You had a Great Sony console and I think that some PS3 Fat models like CECHA and CECHB it has backward compatibility with PS2 games.
