I played this on the PC as a Kid, and it's mega addictive, but have been looking to play something on one of my emulation handhelds recently. Wondered what the best version might be?

idk about the pc version (with all due respect it's probably trash compared to the console versions because that's simply how things worked back then) but I have played both the original arcade and snes versions
the snes version has double the stages and a cool boss fight, the US version has limited continues while the jp version is unlimited

It was actually well rated at the time, but no idea how it compared to arcade or console.

I think it looks like I may need to give the SNES one a try!

seems pretty identical to the snes version, the music could be called better or worse depending on your taste, also WOW, 120 levels

If you want extra content, play the SNES version, you also get a Password system

If you simply want to play the game, stick to arcade, AFAIK the Neo Geo port only adds extra framerate

Bust-A-Move 2 is a good balance before they added to many gimmicks to the later sequels. There are good ports on PS1 and SS.
